Bhavya Sri Suravajhala, a Grade XII student at Amrita Vidyalayam, Puthiyakavu, launched Adolescencesio to support teen mental health through holistic care

August 2024 - Bhavya Sri Suravajhala, a Grade XII student at Amrita Vidyalayam, Puthiyakavu, is making a significant impact on adolescent mental health through her platform, Adolescencesio. Founded in 2022, the platform offers educational resources, mentorship, and mental health support, combining modern practices with holistic and Ayurvedic approaches. Bhavya leads a team of over 20 members, managing workshops and outreach programs aimed at helping teens cope with academic pressure, social expectations, and the impact of social media.

Her journey has not been without challenges, from technical hurdles to addressing the stigma surrounding mental health. However, her resilience and support from mentors have helped her navigate these obstacles. Bhavya's efforts have been recognized at the national level, with appreciation letters from Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2023 and 2024. This recognition has further motivated her to expand Adolescencesio's impact, ensuring a safe and inclusive space for adolescents to seek help.
