In 2023-24, The 2nd Foundation joined hands with the I-Hub Foundation for Cobotics (IHFC), IIT Delhi, to conduct a series of transformative workshops under the initiative "Transforming Education in India: Empowering Teachers and Students for the Digital Age." This collaborative effort aimed to bridge the gap between education and technology, fostering innovation and equipping participants with skills essential for the digital era. The program trained 338 Scheduled Caste (SC) students, including 180 girls, across Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha, focusing on enhancing access to education and opportunities for underserved communities.
The initiative featured two impactful workshops designed to address key areas of education and technology. The first, "Workshop on Technology and Entrepreneurship for Children," introduced students to foundational concepts of entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology, inspiring them to think creatively and develop practical solutions to real-world challenges. The second, "Workshop on Ed-Tech and Generative AI for Students and Teachers," empowered both learners and educators with insights into emerging technologies like generative AI, emphasizing its application in teaching, learning, and problem-solving. Through these workshops, the initiative not only advanced digital literacy but also fostered a culture of innovation and inclusivity, ensuring that education becomes a powerful tool for empowerment in the 21st century.
