Amrita Vidyalayam Puthiyakavu students showcase patented biodegradable structures at National Tech Expo inaugurated by PM Modi

May 2023 - Students Harinarayan M, Thajus S, and Madhumati Anand from Amrita Vidyalayam Puthiyakavu School were invited by Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, to present their project “Biodegradable Tensegrity Structures” at the ‘School to Start-Up – Igniting Young Minds to Innovate’ Expo held in Pragati Maidan from May 11-14. The Expo, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, showcased India’s recent scientific and technological advancements, with a special focus on Atal Innovation Mission. Among 40 schools across India, Amrita Vidyalayam Puthiyakavu School was the sole representative from Kerala, presenting their project that secured two US patents. The project was developed under the guidance of Prof. Gayathri Manikutty from AMMACHI Labs, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. The expo commemorated the 25th National Technology Day and brought together 12 ministries and departments to celebrate India’s scientific excellence and growth story under the leadership of the Prime Minister.
